<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair with an assisting function, capable of assisting a user to smoothly, conveniently and safely stand up. <P>SOLUTION: The wheelchair with an assisting function includes: a side frame unit 10, two foot frame pipes 21, a seat frame unit 30, an extension mechanism 40, at least one drive gear unit 51, and at least one transmission gear 54. The side frame unit 10 includes two side frames. The seat frame unit 30 is positioned above the side frame unit 10. A front end of the seat frame unit 30 is mutually connected to the side frame unit 10 in a movable state. When two support arms 35 move upward by the two drive gear units 51 and the two transmission gears 54, the two foot frame pipes 21 move downward.
