<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing lengthy goods that allows efficient visual inspection and repairing work of lengthy goods in a short time, and a visual inspection device suitable for the production method. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing lengthy goods that extend continuously includes: an imaging step that picturizes the surface of the lengthy goods conveyed in the extending direction of the lengthy goods, using an optical cutting method to acquire a picked-up image; and a dividing step that divides the picked-up image into a prescribed length in an extending direction to be an examination image. The examination image has an overlapping part that overlaps with an adjoining examination image. Moreover, the examination image is divided so that the overlapping part is longer than the half-length of a prescribed crack detection reference length of the extending direction of the lengthy goods. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
