<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a base station communicating with a mobile station in a first mobile communication system (E-UTRA) to acquire mobile station capability information of the mobile station in a second mobile communication system (UTRA) at an appropriate timing. <P>SOLUTION: A base station comprises radio communication units (82, 85) which performs radio communication with a mobile station capable of communication both in first and second mobile communication systems, and network communication units (83, 84) which communicate with an exchange center managing movement of the mobile station. If an initial context setup request received by the network communication unit from the exchange center is not a request issued by a first access from the mobile station to the exchange center, the radio communication unit receives mobile station capability information (UE-UTRA-Capability) in the second mobile communication system after the network communication unit sends the initial context setup response to the exchange center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
