PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system using a mobile communication device.

SOLUTION: A personal authentication system includes: means for reading biological information of a user using a display device containing a sensor; means for checking the read biological information against a standard biological information; means for transmitting the result of the matching as information to a communication destination if the matching is successful; and means for notifying the user that communication between the user and the communication destination is permitted after the communication destination receives the information that the matching is successful.
