摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller that discriminates and detects a short-circuit fault of an upper-stage FET of an inverter circuit, a short-circuit fault of a lower-stage FET, and an arm short-circuit fault to shorten a detection time of the arm short-circuit fault of the inverter circuit. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter portion 20 includes a plurality of switching elements 21-26 provided respectively for a plurality of coils 11, 12 and 13 and constituting element pairs 41, 42 and 43 corresponding to respective phases of the coils 11, 12 and 13. Current detection portions 44, 45 and 46 detect currents flowing through lower-stage FETs 24, 25 and 26 respectively. Fault detection means of a control portion 50 detects arm short-circuit faults of the element pairs 41, 42 and 43 based upon current values detected by the current detection portions 44, 45 and 46 in the timing at which one FETs of the lower-stage FETs 24, 25 and 26 and the upper-stage FETs 21, 22 and 23 all turn on and the other FETs all turn off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
