<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized surface acoustic wave transponder capable of long distance propagation. <P>SOLUTION: The surface acoustic wave transponder 11 includes an antenna and a surface acoustic wave element provided on a piezoelectric substrate 1. On the piezoelectric substrate 1 such as a quartz substrate, a 1-port surface acoustic wave element comprising transmission/reception electrodes 2A, 2B by a pair of comb electrodes facing each other and reflectors 3, 4 is formed. On the piezoelectric substrate 1, a dielectric film is coated in an area other than the formation area of the transmission/reception electrodes 2A, 2B and the reflectors 3, 4, and spiral radiation elements 5A, 5B are formed on the dielectric film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
