<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high fidelity re-configuration image by achieving an electronic holographic display by using an SLM with conventional resolution. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for calculating a hologram by determining a wave surface which lies almost at the positions of the eyes of an observer generated by the real version of a reconfigured object, including: determining the wave surface of the observer window generated by the actual object arranged at the same position of the reconfigured object; carrying out the inverse transformation of those wave surfaces into the hologram; determining a method for encoding the hologram; and generating those wave surfaces. Thus, the appropriately encoded hologram makes it possible to generate the reconfiguration of a three-dimensional scene to be observed by being viewed via the observer window by positioning the eyes on the plane surface of the observer window. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
