<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component transfer device capable of surely picking up a component from a predetermined supply position and transferring it to a predetermined transfer destination position. <P>SOLUTION: The component transfer device automatically picks up a component from a predetermined supply position and transfers it to a predetermined transfer destination position. The device includes a sucking head which sucks and holds the component by a compression air, a sucking head shifting means which shifts the sucking head, an air pressure sensor which detects the pressure of compression air, and an operation control means which, after causing the sucking head to approach the predetermined supply position from overhead, determines whether the sucking head has sucked the component based on the change state of output signal of the air pressure sensor, and if no component has been sucked, the sucking head is slightly reciprocated in vertical direction and then slightly reciprocated in horizontal two directions, orthogonal to each other, but if the component has been sucked by any one of the approaching movement, vertical movement, or horizontal movement, the sucking head is shifted to the predetermined transfer destination position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
