The module (100) has thin-film solar cells (110-112) comprising corresponding cell segments (140, 141a, 141b, 142). Coupling structures (103) are provided among the cell segments in adjacent cells to form a series circuit connection among the segments. Separation structures (101) separate the cell segments of the second solar cell and assign the separated segments to the third solar cell. The separation structures run orthogonal to the coupling structures and extend along the solar cells. Each cell comprises a photovoltaic layer arranged between a first electrode and a second electrode.
