The device (10) has an adjustable body (15) received in a base body (11) comprising an exhaust gas port (12) and two exhaust gas openings (13, 14). A position of the adjustable body is changed in the base body based on an exhaust gas stream flowing in the base body. The adjustable body comprises a valve body (16) mounted at a pivotal lever (17) and displaced between the openings through the lever. The valve body is placed at a valve seat (18) in a region of one of the openings to close the respective opening and to suppress exhaust gas flow in the opening.
