A method and system for transmitting electronic certificate, a point of sale(POS) machine and a near field communication (NFC) terminal based on NFC are disclosed in the present invention. The method includes that: a corresponding electronic certificate is generated by the POS machine according to payment information of the NFC terminal (S402); a point-to-point communication link is established by the POS machine and the NFC terminal (S404); and the electronic certificate is transmitted to the NFC terminal by the POS machine via the point-to-point communication link (S406). The present invention solves the problem that the user is inconvenient in using the consumer certificate, and provides convenience to the client to conserve and reimburse the paper, and therefore the electronic payment system is more perfect and convenient in use.
