The disclosed wrong-way driving detection device for vehicles is provided with: a map information storage unit which stores map information; a determination point setting unit which, on the basis of the map information stored in the map information storage unit, sets connection points in front of the direction of travel of the vehicle as determination points; a wrong-way determination area setting unit which sets a wrong-way determination area for at least one road among a plurality of roads connected by the determination points; and a wrong-way determination unit which, on the basis of the direction of travel of the vehicle and the direction of progression set in relation to a one-way road connected by the determination points, determines whether or not the vehicle is driving the wrong way on a one-way road.
