The moving head (4) has a collision protection device i.e. ring structure, comprising a block (5) that is arranged in a housing (2). The block is deflected during collision of a moving part (7) of the measuring head. Pre-stressing force of a spring element is larger than return force at an end of a deflection path of the movable part of the measuring head. The housing comprises springs (6) that are provided with the block and arranged and spaced from the moving part of the measuring head.
