摘要 <p>Technical and analytical tools (i) to profile chromatin genome-wide in cancer cells; (ii) to discern how this chromatin landscape differs from non-malignant counterpart cells; and (iii) to use this information to elucidate aberrant regulatory pathways that drive human tumors are disclosed. Methods identify aberrantly regulated pathways or processes, with the identity of these pathways or processes providing useful prognostic, therapeutic information, and targets for therapeutic intervention to treat a disease such as cancer are also disclosed. The methods may be applied to specific cancer cell models (including cancer stem cells, tumor cells, cancer cell lines, and their normal counterparts), to gain insight into a given cancer type, or may be applied to an individual patient's tumor, for example to tailor cancer treatment (personalized medicine).</p>
