Disclosed is an electrode body which is capable of providing a secondary batter that has high capacity. Specifically disclosed is an electrode body which is characterized by comprising an active material that is composed of a metal oxide and a conductive assistant that is obtained by deleting some oxygen atoms from the metal oxide and introducing nitrogen atoms into the metal oxide.
