摘要 <p>Provided is a heat pump water heater which employs a CO2 refrigerant and is capable of being increased in capacity while allowing a container for a constituent device to be kept less than or equal to a certain size that is stipulated by the High Pressure Gas Safety Act. The heat pump water heater (1) includes a refrigerant circulation circuit (3A, 3B) which has a compressor (4A, 4B), a radiator (6A, 6B), a decompression means (10A, 10B), and a heat absorber (13A, 13B), respectively, the refrigerant circulation circuit (3A, 3B) employing the CO2 refrigerant. Also included is a water heater heat exchanger (19) which has a water flow path (19A) for exchanging heat with the radiator (6A, 6B). The water heater heat exchanger (19) is coupled with a plurality of lines in parallel to each other, each line including the refrigerant circulation circuit (3A, 3B). In such a heat pump water heater which employs the CO2 refrigerant, all the sizes of each constituent device container of each heat pump (2A, 2B) which is made up of the plurality of lines each including the refrigerant circulation circuit (3A, 3B) are less than or equal to 160mm in inner diameter and the total refrigeration capacity thereof is greater than or equal to 3 refrigeration tons.</p>
