The invention relates to a switching device comprising a control assembly (1) comprising an actuation member (10), a first switching assembly (2a) and a second switching assembly (2b, 2c). The principle of the invention is the capability of securing the engagement of the second switching assembly by means of the first switching assembly (2a), the engagement of which is monitored using a specific device. The first switching assembly (2a) thus comprises mechanical means capable of acting on the second switching assembly (2b) so as to ensure mechanical engagement of the second switching assembly (2b) on the control assembly (1) when the first switching assembly (2a) is mechanically engaged on the control assembly (1). These mechanical means consist for example of a flange (220, 221) produced on the lateral face (f3, f4) of the first switching assembly (2a).
