<p>A 360-degree freedom electric cord device system (20, 120) contains and manages automatic extension and retraction of an electric cord/cable (10) supplying power to a push/pull-type electric machine (12), either self-propelled or not, for intended displacement or steering on a surface (16) by a user (14). The 360-degree freedom electric cord device system (20, 120), partly mounted on the electric machine (12), allows the power cord (10) to clear obstacles on the surface (16) and includes a self-retracting spool (28) to automatically extend and rewind the power cord (10) and continuously keeps physical tension therein, in a straight line and a natural position, during the displacement in any direction of the electric machine (12). With a ratchet mechanism (36), the device (20,120) can also suitably be used independently of the machine (12) as an electric retractable extension cord reel.</p> |
