A method for providing augmented reality using an input image inputted through a terminal device and the information associated with the input image comprises the steps of: (a) acquiring recognition information for an object included in an input image inputted through a terminal device; (b) searching detailed information about a recognized object, acquiring the searched detailed information, and providing a tag accessible to the detailed information as a type of augmented reality for the position of the object to be displayed on a screen of the terminal device; and (c) displaying the detailed information corresponding to the tag as the type of augmented reality when the tag is selected.
