PURPOSE: A coolant circuit for an internal combustion engine is provided to rapidly heat a coolant stored in a cylinder crank housing regardless of the flow of the coolant. CONSTITUTION: A coolant circuit for an internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder crank housing part circuit(5), one or more check valves(9), a first control valve(10), and cylinder heads(4a,4b). The check valves are arranged inside the cylinder crank housing part circuit and allow coolants to flow from an inlet to an outlet through cylinder banks(3a,3b). A cylinder crank housing rear line(5b) discharges the coolant. The first control valve controls the flow of the coolant. Each cylinder head comprises a cylinder head front line(6a) and a cylinder head rear line(6b).
