<p>The device (10) has a conveyor for moving a component (12) of a motor vehicle through an irradiation portal (16). The portal has a UV radiator (18) for emitting UV radiations in a main radiation direction (20) perpendicular to a traveling direction (14) of the conveyor. A reflector (30) deflects an optical path of the radiations to the traveling direction and/or opposite to the traveling direction, where a surface area of the reflector is made of aluminum or Teflon(RTM: polytetrafluoroethylene). The reflector is movable from a neutral position to an irradiation position. An independent claim is also included for a method for curing a coating of radiation-curable paint of a component of a motor vehicle.</p>
