Provided are: a method for detecting genetic mutation comprising the step of carrying out PCR by using a PCR primer and also a blocking primer which competes therewith and of which one end has been modified; and a method for diagnosing diseases associated with genetic mutation by using the same. The present invention can promote detection sensitivity and detection specificity by blocking normal DNA amplification and selectively amplifying just mutant DNA.
