VEHICLE COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM TO REPLACE THE SIDE MIRROR

PURPOSE: A warning system for preventing lateral collision is provided to reduce the indoor noise of a vehicle due to air at high speed by installing a lateral rear sensing unit and a dead zone sensing unit instead of a side view mirror. CONSTITUTION: A steering sensing unit(10) senses the steering direction of a vehicle. A lateral rear sensing unit(30) senses the vehicle in the lateral rear area. A dead zone sensing unit(50) senses the vehicle of the lateral rear area in a dead zone. A control unit(70) determines the collision of the vehicle by sensing signals from the steering sensing unit and the dead zone sensing unit. A display unit(90) outputs the determination result of the control unit. The lateral rear sensing unit and the dead zone sensing unit replace side view mirrors.
