<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate package which prevents movement of a glass plate even when the glass plate is severely vibrated during the conveyance, avoids the occurrence of breakage or surface damages caused by the vibration, and adequately copes with an increase in size associated with an increase in size of the glass plate and with handling hardship due to the upsizing. <P>SOLUTION: In the package of a glass plate G, a plurality of glass plates G are accommodated on a base 2 having a substantially L-shaped section comprising: a loading face 2b for loading the glass plate G in a substantially vertical direction: and a backrest face 2a extending in a substantially vertical direction from a rear end of the loading face 2b in a rest against the backrest face 2a while interposing a protective member 3 between the glass plates.
