PURPOSE: A deodorization unit for a refrigerator and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to consecutively maintain a deodorization effect and to efficiently eliminate offensive odors from the inside a refrigerator. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a deodorization unit for a refrigerator is as follows. Diatomite is dried and is crushed. The crashed diatomite powder is heated at a temperature of 810-830 degrees and plasticized. Diatomite powder 30-50 weight%, silica 40-60 weight%, tourmaline powder 5-10 weight%, and binder 2-5 weight% are mixed. The mixture is mixed with water. The mixed mixture is put into a mold and is molded into a specific shape. The molded mixture is dried and solidified. The solidified mixture is separated from the mold.
