COMPOSITION FOR SKIN WHITENING COMPRISING EXTRACTS OF MICROALGAE CULTURE MEDIUM AS AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE: A composition containing microalgae culture liquid extract for skin whitening is provided to remarkably suppress melanogenesis and to ensure anti-inflammation without cytotoxicity. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains microalgae culture liquid extract as an active ingredient. The microalgae are Chlorella kessleri, Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803, or Botryococcus braunii. A method for preparing the culture liquid comprises: a step of culturing microalgae at 24°C and 100 uE/m2/s for ten days to obtain culture liquid; a step of centrifuging the culture liquid to remove cells; and a step of filtering the culture liquid and isolating supernatant. The microalgae culture liquid extract is isolated using hexane, chloroform, or butanol. A pharmaceutical composition for skin whitening contains the microalgae culture liquid extract as an active ingredient.
