Operation mechanism for controlling front suspension system

An operation mechanism for locking or unlocking the front suspension system of bicycles includes a base (1) with a lever frame (2) pivotably connected thereto. A control cable (611) is connected to the lever frame (2) which has a pin (22). A movable member (3) is located in the base (1) and includes two hooks (33) and two slots (311) are defined through the hooks (33). The base (1) includes an axle (11) which extends through the center of the lever frame (2) and the two slots (311). The pin (22) on the movable member (3) is removably hooked by the hooks (33). A cover (5) is mounted to the base (1) to hide the movable member (3). The movable member (3) is movable along a push rod (42) and biased by a resilient member (43). An operation rod (41) inserted into the base (1) and pushes the movable member (3) to remove the pin (22) from the hooks (33) so as to release the control cable (611).
