PURPOSE: An ultrasound system for performing adaptive clutter filtering and a method thereof are provided to accurately estimate a frequency component corresponding to a clutter signal, thereby providing a color Doppler image. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasound data obtaining unit(120) transmits an ultrasound signal to an object. The ultrasound data obtaining unit receives an ultrasound eco signal which is reflected from the object to obtain ultrasound data. A processor(130) detects a plurality of frequency components corresponding to ultrasound data using an autoregressive model. A processor detects an average frequency component corresponding to the ultrasound data. A user input unit(110) receives input information of a user.
