A cable retractor, which may be retrospectively fitted to a lead, comprises a spring loaded spool; the spool is pre-tensioned and held in place with a locking device. The lead from a pair of headphones or similar device is placed in the channel on the upper face of the spool and the locking mechanism released. The lead is drawn around the spool. The spool may be placed in a housing which may have a hinged lid. When required the lead can be drawn out and held at the required length by the locking mechanism. |
