<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a synthetic string for a racket by which the braid-type or winding-type string having excellent stability of properties and quality can be produced in good production efficiency without using a solvent, and to provide an apparatus therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the string for the racket comprises (A) a step for covering the surface of a multifilament and/or monofilament becoming a core yarn with a molten resin, (B) a step for braiding or winding a plurality of monofilaments and/or a multifilament becoming a sheath yarn on the core component by using the yarn obtained at the step (A) and covered with the resin as the core component, and (C) a step for forming a surface resin layer by covering the surface layer of the yarn obtained at the step (B) with a molten resin.
