The collet (1) has a blocking surface (4) arranged beside a lock window (5). A switch dial-contour (2), a connecting link (3) and the lock window are manufactured by punching operation, where the collet is formed in half shell-shape. A switch bar unit is arranged on a control shaft, where the collet is secured by a weld seam at the control shaft and/or at the switch bar unit by mechanical transformation. A metal sheet is reshaped to provide the switch dial-contour in the metal sheet. The lock window and/or the link are transformed into the metal sheet to be punched. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a gearbox comprising a detent collet (2) a method for manufacturing a detent collet.
