<p>The method involves forming a working gas from two gas components in a working area (4) of the internal combustion engine (1). The working gas is subsequently fired and burned. The energy released from the combustion of working gas is applied to perform work for the movement of a piston (3). The gaseous oxygen is applied as former gas component of the working gas and a low calorific gas fuel is applied as latter gas component. The fuel is a biogas or landfill gas with hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an internal combustion engine comprises a fuel supply unit; and (2) a device for operating an internal combustion engine.</p> |
