PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having an automatic camera image taking function and a method thereof are provided to skip a step of pressing a photographing button or a touch screen. CONSTITUTION: A camera module(131) performs an auto focusing function(110). A first determining module(133) of an auto photographing module(132) receives a quantile value about three axes of a mobile terminal(100). The first determining module calculates the distribution value for the following values(t-N, ...., t-2, t-1, t). If the distribution value is less than a minimum value, the auto photographing module takes a picture of an object.
