PURPOSE: A video encoding method and decoding method of a 3D TV is provided to satisfy both compatibility and high compression efficiency with an existing digital TV. CONSTITUTION: A compression coding is performed for a first video(11). Motion estimation information and type information of a reference image are obtained(21). A conversion and a quantization process are performed for an estimated error value(22). The estimated error value is restored(23). Entropy coding is performed for the reference image kind information, the motion estimation information, and the estimated error value(24).
