The method involves utilizing a virtual tool (1) implemented by a computer program. Parameters representing holes to be punched are captured (2). A selection of values of standard dimensions of the holes to be punched is facilitated (3). The holes and the parameters are represented (5) on a three-dimensional graphical representation of surface of a part of a body to be punched. A set of last parameters satisfying a load booklet for the holes to be punched is collected (10). The last parameters are utilized (100) to manufacture the tool.
