The device has a fixation unit for fixing a hinge (3) with a left rotating post (11) or a right rotating post (12), of an introducing face of a cabinet to allow a case (2) to rotate around the post between stored and released positions. The hinge is disassembled with respect to the case, and is fixed with the case in two fixation positions, where the fixation positions correspond to the positioning of the hinge for fixing the hinge with the right rotating post and the left rotating post of the introducing face of the cabinet, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a cable connection and/or storage device in a cabinet.
