摘要 An infusion system is disclosed that can measure the amount of ultra-filtrate added to and removed from a patent. The system has a first delivery unit (148) that delivers an infusion ultra-filtrate (158) to a hemofilter (144). A first measurement device determines the amount of infusion ultra-filtrate in the infusion system using the weight of the infusion ultra-filtrate. A receiver unit (146) receives a patient's removed ultra-filtrate (156) from the hemofilter and a second measurement device determines the amount of removed ultra-filtrate in the infusion system using the weight of the removed ultra-filtrate. A control system (150) communicates with the delivery and receiver units and the first and second measurement units to determine optimum flow rates to and from the hemofilter. These flow rates are based upon the determined amounts of infusion ultra-filtrate and removed ultra-filtrate in the infusion system, and a predetermined desired pressure differential between the infusion and removed ultra-filtrates. The control system also controls the delivery and receiver units accordingly.
