The invention relates to a superconducting dipole magnet assembly with applications in the field of nuclear physics, for making accelerators, detectors or spectrometers for electrically charged particles. According to the invention, the assembly consists of a superconducting magnet consisting of two superconducting coils (1) placed inside an iron core (2), the said superconducting coils (1) being cooled down to 4.2 K by a cryo-cooler (3) and protected against thermal radiation of 300 K by a heat protecting screen (4), said components being placed within a vacuum enclosure (5) named cryostat which has an axial channel (6) passing through the superconducting magnet where there is generated a uniform magnetic field zone (7) wherethrough the electrically-charged elementary particles are passed with a view to deflecting them from their initial trajectory.
|
