A bottom bar (1) for a blind assembly is disclosed. The bottom bar has at least two slots (3, 4) extending in an axial direction, the slots being positioned substantially opposite one another. Each slot defines an opening (5, 6) for receiving blind material, the openings being of different respective widths and facing in opposite directions. Each of the slots include a floor (11a, 12a) opposite the respective opening, wherein for each slot, the middle portion of the floor of the slot is concave relative to the opening and the end portions of the floor of the slot are convex. The arraignment of the bar slots seeks to address the problems associated with the prior art by adapting the shape of the slot in assist movement of fabric within the slot and hence aid the feeding of the fabric into the slots; as well as retaining materials of various thicknesses.
