Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent input/output characteristics and excellent adherence between its electrode material mixture layer and current collector. Disclosed is an electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, having a current collector and an electrode material mixture layer attached to a surface of the current collector, in which the electrode material mixture layer includes a metal oxide-containing electrode active material and a binder; the oil absorption capacity of the electrode active material is 25 g or more and 200 g or less, per 100 g of the electrode active material; and when the thickness of the electrode material mixture layer is designated as T, an amount W1 of the binder in a region 0.1 T thick from the surface side of the electrode material mixture layer, and an amount W2 of the binder in a region 0.1 T thick from the current collector side of the electrode material mixture layer, satisfy 0.9≰W1/W2≰1.1.
