PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prism sheet that reduces scintillation to display a light image, a transmission type screen equipped with the same, and a rear projection type display device.SOLUTION: The prism sheet 11 includes a prism layer 111 where a plurality of unit prisms 111a are arrayed, an optical shape portion 115 which is formed at a projection side with respect to the prism layer 111 and where a plurality of unit optical shapes 115a are arrayed, and a light diffusion layer 112 which is formed at an incident side with respect to the optical shape portion 115. The prism sheet satisfies a relationship |γ|≤|θ| wherein θ represents an angle at which light incident from a normal direction of a sheet surface has luminance which is 1/10 times as large as maximum luminance on a distribution curve of luminance when diffused only by a diffusion material included in the prism sheet and emitted, and γ represents an angle at which the light incident from the normal direction of the sheet surface has a maximum value on the distribution curve of luminance for an emission angle to the sheet surface when diffused only by the optical shape portion 115 and emitted.
