PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize a target object without fail, even for a situation such that background undergoes intense fluctuations.SOLUTION: A method for information processing includes a learning process for generation a tree structured dictionary by using a plurality of patterns including a target object to be recognized includes selecting a plurality of points from an input pattern, based on the distribution of a probability that the target object to be recognized is present in the input pattern at each node of a tree structure generated in the learning process (S105); and classifying the input pattern into a lower node, based on the value of a predetermined function that corresponds to the values of the input pattern at the plurality of points that are selected (S106). |
