PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium carrying device, an image forming device and a cleaning method of the medium carrying device, for surely removing a liquid sticking object sticking to a gripper for fixing an end part of a medium and a mechanism for opening-closing the gripper.SOLUTION: In a resting period during a printing job, a cleaning liquid is supplied from a cleaning device (16) to the gripper (14) arranged in a recessed part (20) of a pressure cylinder. The gripper supplied with the cleaning liquid is moved to a drying processing position by a heater (40A), and drying processing is applied by drying air supplied from the heater. While, when performing the printing job, the cleaning liquid is supplied to a peripheral surface (12A) of the pressure cylinder with every one time processing, and cleaning processing of the peripheral surface of the pressure cylinder is performed. The cleaning device for cleaning the peripheral surface of the pressure cylinder is applied as a means for cleaning the gripper, and the heater for applying the drying processing to the medium is applied as a means for drying the gripper after supplying the cleaning liquid. |
