PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus that enables suitable handwriting input while maintaining legibility in sections outside the input area.SOLUTION: The image display apparatus includes a specification receiver 50 that receives the specification of a stamp image 72, a relative position determiner 52 that determines a relative position of the specified stamp image 72, an overlap assessment device 56 that assesses whether at least a portion of trajectory information 74 drawn by a touch panel 24 overlaps with the stamp image 72, a storage assessment device 58 that assesses whether to store the trajectory information 74 in the stamp image 72 on the basis of the assessment result of the overlap assessment device 56, and a memory 60 that stores the trajectory information 74 in association with the stamp image 72 if the assessment of the storage assessment device 58 is in the affirmative. In handwriting input to a local writing area that is a section of the entire writing area, it is possible to easily write handwriting input information in the local writing area without enlarging the local writing area. |
