PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, capable of safely removing a loaded memory card without stopping an operation when the information processing apparatus is fed with power supply from an AC adapter to operate.SOLUTION: A laptop PC 100 monitors a removable state of a battery pack 4 and a power supply ON/OFF signal of a WWAN module 7 from a WWAN application, and when the battery pack 4 is removed or when the power supply ON/OFF signal of the WWAN module 7 is OFF, controls the power supply to a modem 8 from a power circuit 6. Consequently, even when the laptop PC 100 operates by the AC adapter 5, the power supply to a SIM (subscriber identity module) card 9 connected to the modem 8 is stopped to make it possible to safely remove the SIM card 9 while maintaining the operation of the laptop PC other than the WWAN module 7. |
