摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that not only a cost increases when a sensor is loaded for tripod determination but also photographing is performed at a shutter speed not in consideration of a camera shake when fixed to a unipod or a tripod at an instable installation location, and while there is also an imaging apparatus which detects a camera shake amount using a motion vector obtained from video signals, there is the risk that it is not correctly determined whether or not to be fixed to a tripod in the state that a camera shake correction lens is mounted and lens camera shake correction sufficiently works.SOLUTION: When an imaging optical system includes a shake detection sensor, it is determined whether or not to be the state that the imaging apparatus is fixed to a tripod by output from the shake detection sensor. When the imaging optical system does not include the shake detection sensor, it is determined whether or not to be the state that the imaging apparatus is fixed to a tripod by a motion vector detected by a vector detection means.
