PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving system for a vehicle, capable of improving responsiveness during reacceleration after brake deceleration.SOLUTION: This driving system 1 for the vehicle includes a transmission 4 changing a shift stage by switching engagement and disengagement of friction engagement elements. The driving system 1 for the vehicle also includes a reacceleration request estimation section 513 estimating the possibility of a reacceleration request after the brake deceleration based on brake releasing speed, and a preliminary operation control section 514 controlling a predetermined preliminary operation performed during the engagement or disengagement of the friction engagement elements C1, C2, B1, B2. When it is determined by the reacceleration request estimation section 513 during the brake deceleration of the vehicle that there is the possibility of the reacceleration request after the brake deceleration, the preliminary operation control section 514 makes the friction engagement element related to a predetermined shift stage perform the preliminary operation for downshifting. |
