PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which quickly makes a slave unit operable when the remaining power of a secondary battery of the slave unit is insufficient.SOLUTION: The communication equipment connectable to an input device having a first secondary battery includes: a connection part that is connected to the first secondary battery when the input device is connected to the communication equipment; a first communication part for communicating with the input device; a second communication part for performing second communication with an external device on the basis of information received by the first communication part; a second secondary battery for feeding the power for the second communication; a power source connection part that can be connected to a power source; a switch that can connect either the second secondary battery or the connection part to the power source connection part; and a controller for determining whether a predetermined operation of the input device is possible on the basis of the first communication to control the switch on the basis of the determination result when the input device is connected to the communication equipment and when the power source is connected to the power source connection part.
