PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the quality of a bead 11 provided with a stiffener 15, with high precision, by using a small device of a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The quality of the bead 11 provided with the stiffener 15 is judged by measuring the shape of the outside surface of the bead 11 provided with the stiffener 15 along a straight line by a two-dimensional laser displacement sensor 26 to obtain a linear profile, determining the distance between two points on the linear profile, here between the top 11a of the bead 11 and the inside end 20a of the stiffener 15 in the radial direction, by an operating means 29 and judging, by a judging means 31, whether or not the distance between the two points lies within a tolerance. Occurrence of measurement errors is thus reduced, allowing judgement of the quality with high precision. |
