A mobile terminal and a method for updating contact person information are provided. The mobile terminal includes: an edition module(12) for providing a contact person update interface which includes a selection control component and an edition control component, wherein the selection control component is used for generating a selection instruction according to the user's operation, and the edition control component is used for generating an edition instruction according to the user's operation; a control module(14) for selecting information of multiple contact persons according to the selection instruction from the selection control component and editing the information of the multiple contact persons according to the edition instruction from the edition control component; and an update module(16) for updating the information of the multiple contact persons stored in a database as the information of the multiple contact persons edited by the control module. With the present invention, improving the effect of user experience is reached.
